The «NZZ am Sonntag» has published a rating of the best hotels in Switzerland for the fourth time. In cooperation with Switzerland Tourism, the 2021 hotel rating focused on sustainable activities.
On the one hand, hotels participating in the new Swisstainable programme, a programme based on recognised sustainability certifications, were considered for the rating. On the other hand, hotels were selected that were known to operate sustainably, but did not yet display the Swisstainable signet. Due to the different sustainability approaches and financial possibilities of the hotels, not the most sustainable hotel in Switzerland was awarded, but the best of the demonstrably sustainable hotels.
We are extremely pleased to find nine of the «Cause We Care» implementation partners among the top 50 hotels and top 6 youth hostels. We would like to congratulate: The Dolder Grand Zürich, Castello del Sole Ascona, Cervo Mountain Resort Zermatt, Schloss Wartegg Rorschacherberg, Schweizerhof Lenzerheide, Schweizerhof Bern, Belvedere Grindelwald, Kartause Ittingen and the Swiss Youth Hostels.
