Mobility Cooperative
This is how it works:
Mobility users have the opportunity to offset their CO2 emissions with a contribution of 3 centimes per kilometre driven. At the same time, they are supporting Mobility’s sustainability measures (building a climate-friendly fleet and ancillary projects). This way, customers make twice the impact with their contributions. In addition, the Mobility Cooperative will double these contributions, likewise investing these funds into in-house sustainability projects.
Since its foundation in 1997, the concept of sharing has been at the centre of Mobility. Because those who share, have more – and help conserve the environment. Some 220,000 mobility customers are convinced by this concept. Sustainability is rooted deep in Mobility’s DNA: which is why the company aims to make all its vehicles fully electric by 2030 and have a completely climate-neutral fleet by 2040.
Thanks to many users forgoing ownership of their own vehicle, opting for public transport and Mobility instead, 31,000 fewer tonnes of CO2 are emitted into the atmosphere each year. In addition, 35,500 fewer cars are driven on Switzerland’s streets – one Mobility vehicle replaces 11 privately owned cars.
The cooperative has been working closely with myclimate for many years, most recently joining myclimate’s «Cause We Care» program. With a voluntary contribution of 3 centimes for CO2 emissions generated by each kilometre driven, customers offset their Mobility journeys and support the development of an electric fleet and ancillary projects. Mobility will then match the climate contributions of its customers.
