Choco Pass: CHF 1.00
Public guided tours: CHF 1.00

With these contributions, the CO₂ emissions generated during your experience in Geneva are offset with myclimate. At the same time, the Fondation Genève Tourisme & Congrès doubles the contributions and invests them in its own local sustainability. In this way guests can achieve a double effect.

How does «Cause We Care» work?

The Genève Tourisme & Congrès Foundation has set itself the task of promoting the many advantages of Geneva as a destination throughout the world. Genève Tourisme & Congrès has been committed to sustainability for several years.

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations, it adopted a new strategy in 2020 to develop sustainable city tourism to meet current social, environmental and economic challenges. This strategy is built on five pillars:

Accelerating the transition to a circular economy
Accelerate the transition to a post-carbon economy
Promote local initiatives
Promote social and solidarity impacts on the destination
Strengthen collaboration between tourism stakeholders

The staff teams are working day by day to engage the destination in more sustainable tourism through numerous awareness-raising activities.

«Cause We Care» measures

Training workshop on waste management : Training and awareness-raising workshop for Geneva's tourism partners on waste management. This half-day thematic session will be accompanied by two follow-up sessions (planned for 2022)
Flyer "Together, let's preserve Geneva!" Development of a flyer for visitors to Geneva to be used as a guide to good practice during their visit (to be implemented in January 2022)
