This is how it works:

The World Nature Forum uses one percent of its turnover (admissions, guided tours, shop) as a «Cause We Care» contribution. Voluntary support for this commitment is possible at any time. A «Cause We Care» cash box is available at the ticket office. These amounts will be used to offset the emissions generated by your experience with myclimate.

How does «Cause We Care» work?

Company profile

The World Nature Forum in Naters is the visitor centre of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. In the interactive exhibition, visitors can experience the World Heritage Site with all their senses and immerse themselves in the exciting and diverse Alpine world.

By signing the World Heritage Charter, the participating communities have committed themselves to preserving the values of the area for future generations and to developing the region sustainably. Education for sustainable development and raising awareness of the uniqueness of the natural and cultural landscape are among the most important tasks of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. The exhibition in the World Nature Forum deals with all the processes surrounding the formation and change of the Alps, especially the changes and challenges of global warming.

The main objective of the UNESCO World Heritage Foundation Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch is to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of the outstanding universal value of the World Heritage Site and the surrounding region and to initiate goal-oriented projects. This is done in close cooperation with the population, the communities, the cantons and the federal government. A central element is a participatory approach that reconciles existing protection interests. Local experts analyse which endangered species and habitats are of particular importance for the World Heritage Site and should therefore be protected. If there is a need for action, funding projects for protection or enhancement measures for the species and habitats are launched and implemented.
