Tradition Julen Zermatt
Tradition Julen Zermatt provides a pure feeling of being home during the holidays. The family business has been offering its guests fun and enjoyment in Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn, since 1910. Three hotels, three restaurants, a pub, as well as its own sheep farm and biogas plant are part of the company.
Sustainability has always been a tradition and a matter of the heart for the Julen family - because living in and with nature requires a respectful use of resources.
For this reason, all hotels are equipped with the latest technology, investments are made continuously and the ecological footprint is reduced. The hotel's own biogas plant produces CO2-neutral electricity, while black-nosed sheep breeding promotes biodiversity. In 2020, the topic of sustainability will be strengthened, with the projects: Food waste reduction, Zermatt mountain water, the environmental certification 14001 and the introduction of «Cause We Care» in all hotels.
